When this health organisation started planning, they started growing.
The Australasian Hepatology Association is the peak professional body supporting and educating hepatology nurses and allied health professionals across Australia and New Zealand.
As the Australasian Hepatology Association (AHA) entered its’ second decade the Board approached C2M with the brief to;
- engage its membership base, and
- advise on how the organisation could continue to grow in an environment that was seeing increased competition, and a change in funding models.
The first step was for C2M to facilitate a Strategic Planning session with the AHA Board. This confirmed the organisation’s purpose and identified the key areas for their ongoing activities.
Post the Strategic Planning Session a Business Plan and subsequent Communication Strategy were developed. As a result an e-commerce responsive website was developed, along with email and social media strategies.
The new website was central to the strategy and provided members, potential members and other stakeholders with the ability to download resources, including videos, as well as access online training.
The member’s area provided access to further resources as well as a payment gateway for new membership payments and renewals.
C2M assisted the AHA to identify and access funding that has seen the following projects successfully delivered;
- Annual Conference
- Research Projects
- Advanced Liver Disease Training Course: An Introduction to the Nursing Care and Management of Patients with Advanced Liver Disease
- Consensus Based Nursing Guidelines: For the care of people with Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Advanced Liver Disease and Hepatocellular Carcinoma
